Vibration - Focus 2ltr diesel ST line estate auto

Featured Replies

19 plate focus 2ltr diesel ST line X Auto. 95k miles.

Recently the slightest bump seems to vibrate through car from road, also when engine is on load on light throttle from 45 to 55 mph-ish I feel same vibration.

The vibration feels very quick and lasts 2 or 3 seconds at a time.

The engine has no misfire & also no lights on dash and no fault codes.

I can feel it through car as opposed through steering. I have checked ball joints/track rod ends/felt wheels for play etc with no movement found, and this is definitely not a wheel balance issue Im 100% sure of that - also I've not taken covers off bottom of car yet to check ARB bushes but I also wondered if this could be an engine mount issue?

I've also driven car from lock to lock and cant hear any noise or play from cv joints.

Tyres are all matching and vgc.

Anyone come across similar problem with vibration?

You might want to look at getting the transmission fluid changed, could be a torque converter issue

Nah, same vibration is felt on lumpy road surfaces so cant see it being transmission issue.

OK
