ACC Sensor blocked - Focus MK4

Featured Replies

Hi

Fresh owner of the used Focus Mk4. The issue is that ACC doesn’t always work. Usually, after a fresh start it works, but after some time or if I turn it off and on few times I get the ACC sensor blocked message. Could it be that the licence plate is mounted too low? Looking at other Focus cars it’s usually higher. It looks like more than a half of the sensor is blocked in my car?

Could very possibly be the issue - try temporarily relocating the plate and holder to see if the issue clears 👍

Is it a metal number plate?  I wouldn't expect a plastic one to affect the radar sensor.

Yes, the plate is a metal one, only the frame is plastic. Will try to put it a bit higher tomorrow as Troy said
