Occasion bonnet open warning whilst driving.

Featured Replies

Hi, somethings up with either the connector or the switch on my bonnet. Now and then have to open it up and wiggle the wire connector. I'm lazy but never oblivious to need to be notified of said issue though a sensor. Does anyone know if I can just cut the wire and either leave the circuit open or closed to prevent the warnings. (Plug contacts seem corrosion free)

Try bridging the contacts and insulating and tying them up first to see if the problem goes away.

It is part of the factory fitted alarm system. If you choose to disable it then your insurance company may not be very happy.
