Wiper Stalk Mixed Functions

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Recently bought a 2017 Focus ST Line and everything is going great apart from one issue.  The wiper stalk functions are mixed up, when I pull the stalk towards me it activates the front wiper but the rear washer jets and the opposite for pushing the stalk away.

Has anyone come across this issue and is it hardware related (the stalk) or is it something that I could change in forscan?

Cheers!

That's a very easy fault to fix. Someone has likely replaced the washer pump and connected the wires the wrong way round. The pump runs clockwise for the front screen and anti-clockwise for the rear screen. Just swap the wires on the pump and that will be your problem sorted.

Thanks for the help.  I will see if thats the case.

More likely they have connected the hoses the wrong way round, the connector is keywayed
