Featured Replies

Thanks in advance,

this is on my 61 plate titanium 1.6L focus

I am getting the battery light come on after a couple of minutes of idling, this stays on till I restart and then repeats.

Across the battery terminal is 12volts when the engine is off and 12volts after engine is started.

two questions really how can i test the alternator at source

and

Should there be something plugged in the green plug in the picture

Thanks again

Dave

Alternator has failed. Should be 13.95V with the engine running.

That's an O2 sensor but it's been unplugged for a long time looking at the grime inside the plug.

Either someone fitted that DPF second hand but your car never had the wiring for the sensor.  Or it was remapped and sensor disconnected to make mapping easier.
