Mk1 central locking failure to passenger door

One of my doors isn't being activated by central locking, I have to manually unlock it.  What can I check & fix myself before taking it for repair?  My mechanical abilities extend to being able to remove the door panel and doing a visual inspection, but not having any idea after that what I'm really looking for!

    Check the wiring connector at the door frame to were it goes in to the in to body you may find a broken wire in the rubber boot☺️

    The cable appears intact.  I notice the actuator isn't making noise in that door when I lock/unlock so I assume it's the issue.

    It could just be seized and needs lubricating (inside the door)
