Changing front sensors on a MK3 focus

Featured Replies

I currently have a parking aid malfunction warning with a B129D-96 code in forscan. I cleaned the sensor and I still have the error so I probably have to replace the sensor.

How complicated is it to change a front sensor?

Changing the sensor is the easy part.  Getting access to it is more difficult.  Generally you'll need to remove either a headlight or the grill, or an undertray or worst case scenario the full bumper.

It's the far right sensor that failed. Do you think I can get enough room by removing just the headlight?

I can't remember on the Mk3, but it's so easy to remove the headlight that it's worth trying.
