2009 Convertible CC Rear bumper removal

Featured Replies

I am currently applying Bilt Hamber 80 and Lanoguard to the rear end of the Focus, and while its all surface rust and nothing serious, I can see the rear bumper bar is in need of the same treatment. I have watched a few YouTune videos for the Mk2 Facelift hatchback rear bumper removal as I could not find anything describing the rear bumper removal for the CC.

Anyone have any clue as to if this bumper fitment is the same as the hatch, sedan or estate ? I used to own a Escort Mk3 Convertible, and if I recall that was Estate based.

Any clues would be welcome.

Thanks

The CC appears to have a totally unique bumper.  Not like hatch, estate or even saloon.

It has a weird sliding bolt on each side.

Thanks for that, will have a closer look for that bolt, but now I am really confused how it comes off. I already have the off-side rear wheel arch cover removed, will get the near-side one off as well and see what needs to be un-done. I wonder if the rear lights need to be removed. I suspect they will.

There are aslo some very strange round/bowl shaped items at each corner, which have proven impossible so far to remove.
