Ford Focus MK2 SHORT SHIFTER

Featured Replies

Hi guys!

I want to install a short shifter kit on my Ford Focus Mk2 1.8 TDCi. I found some short shifter kits online, but only for the Ford Focus Mk2 RS/ST.

I wonder if anyone has installed a short shifter on their car, and if the Focus RS/ST kit will be compatible with my 5-speed transmission 1.8 TDCi.

Have a great day!

I can’t see the ST/RS short shifter working on a 5 speed setup. If you google the ST 225 shifter there’s an example on eBay with short shifter kit fitted that you can compare.

The RS/ST kit includes a new locator for the outer of the gear cable and the housings for the 2 shifter mechanisms are different. Then the ST cable end is a vertical fit onto the relocated ball stud whereas the 5 speed shifter this mounts horizontally.

Couldn't you just have some bone removed from your arm?:goof:
