mk3 Focus Diesel in Limp mode

Featured Replies

Good Morning All

my 64 plate mk3 focus has gone in to limp mode 2 days after purchasing with service engine now light and hill start assist not available, I have had it diagnosed and the fault seems to say engine misfire on cylinder 2 I have put the car back in to garage as its under warranty just wasn't sure if anyone else has had this issue and what the cause was. just to note this was the only fault showing on diagnostics

The service engine warning will be due to the miss fire, which will be a faulty injector, probably

The other is probably due to a flat battery

just had it confirmed by the garage the car is in it was due to a faulty electrical connection on the injector, hopefully all good now as was running like a dream
