MK1 driveshaft diameters?

Hello all...the driveshafts on mine are 25mm in diameter. The new CV joint I received is for a narrower diameter,which I perceive is for 23mm driveshaft

    it has the 1.6 Sigma engine with IB5 and it is the outer CV joint(hub side) and has 23 splines. I did buy BGA CV2303A  last year for the off-side (CV joints are not sided) and that was spot on. But my recent purchase was at a lower price,and it matched the part numbers in Microcat for my Focus,but is too small

    Thanks.  I'm not sure I can tell you anything you don't already know if you're using Microcat.

    I can see that some have 21 splines instead of 23.  Though there doesn't seem to be a specific year or engine type for them.  Aftermarket parts often say they cover multiple OE part numbers, so I suspect the one you have does fit some Mk1 Focus's, but not yours.

    Looking at the box,the part number is for a 2008 Fiesta 1.25,and they tell me that is what I ordered😁....as you say "Aftermarket parts often say they cover multiple OE part numbers"...well evidently,they shouldn't
