MK2 Cabrio: Back window replacement / Seat release cable

Hi everyone,

I own a Ford Focus MK2 Cabrio CC, manufactured in 2008, and I have two questions I hope someone here can help me with.

1. Back window replacement
I’d like to have a custom rear window made, but I need a technical drawing or a DXF file. Does anyone know where I can find the exact dimensions and the tilt angle of the window?
The glass part number is: <42006 1544661 Glass - Back Window.

2. Front Left Seat Back Latch Release Cable issue
The Front Left Seat Back Latch Release Cable has broken. The part number is: 1336051 | 4M51-B617B15-AA.
Can anyone guide me on how to replace it by myself, step by step?

    I don't advise bothering, it's doomed to failure and you'll probably break the original getting it out.

    If it ain't broke etc etc etc

    The front seats are the same as a normal 3-Door Focus, search youtube for "Focus MK2 seat tilt release cable change"

    Yes, actually because the original window is impossible to find I would like to have a second copy in case of potenatial break.

    If you know how to get the technical specification for it, that would be great!

    Ford does not specify any dimensions or technical data regarding windows.

    The only way to obtain this data is by reverse engineering of the existing window. For example by 3D scanning and converting the raw scan data into a 3D drawing (for example DXF). This however will not be cheap since expensive specialized equipment and labour are involved.

    Why I am asking for it is that my back window broke last month and I was lucky to find used one in my country and now I would like to have a backup.

    I think I simply measure the window and order a dedicated plexi flexible material that may be used in case of 🙂
