Hello any advice appreciated

I accidentally walked away and left my car (22 Focus Ecoblue 1.5 ) unlocked (had keys with me not in car)  Should the doors lock after a certain time ? If not can I set this up in settings somewhere ?

    I don't have one yet, but I'm assuming yours is keyless ignition? Also I know in previous fords if you unlocked them but then didn't open the doors it would lock again automatically.

    There is an Autorelock function but only if you unlock the doors and fail to open them.

    HOW DOES AUTORELOCK WORK

    
     The doors automatically relock if you do not open a door within 45 seconds of unlocking the doors with the remote control. The door locks and the alarm return to their previous state.

    Walk-away locking not an option on Fords.  You'll need a Peugeot or Renault for that.

    Not an entirely new feature - my 20 year old Focus has it!
