Mk3 Focus Keyless Entry Antenna - Missing?

Hi, I was wondering if someone could please confirm the expected location of the front keyless entry antenna in a 2012 Focus?  

I was expecting it to be found towards the front of the car in front of the centre armrest and in the area beneath the heating controls.  I checked under there earlier and couldn't see an antennae, but an empty space instead as shown in one of the attached images.

I did notice a couple of loose cables hanging down, one of them, a red one shown below, looks like it might fit an antenna does anyone know if that's what it's intended for? I notice that while its the correct shape, it has 4 holes and I think the antenna only has 2 pins.

I'm investgating an OBD error of B10C9  - interior front antenna- circuit failure - pending. I believe the missing antenna (if it is indeed missing and not located somewhere else) is responsible for this.  

I've never notice any problems unlocking the car, or using the keyless start, which I'm starting to think is some kind of voodoo as I don't appear to have an antenna under the armrest either! (have removed armrest to check), but do have one in boot next to the rear seats.

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance
