Focus RS Mk3 - Issue with parking lights

Featured Replies

Hello all,

With evening fog around, I turned on my left parking light immediately after turning off the ignition.

After exiting the vehicle and pressing the lock button on the door, I noticed that:

  • instrument cluster was illuminated, and the headlight indicator on
  • performance gauges were illuminated
  • steering wheel controls had backlight on
  • climate controls had backlight on

Usually when I use the parking light, all of these would be turned off/no backlight. I double checked that the headlight switch was set to automatic.

Any ideas on what could cause this to happen?

No modifications with exception of Ford ACV Wireless Charger installed under climate controls over a year ago.

Cheers
