Help with part name/number - turbo air intake hose...?

Featured Replies

Hi! And thanks in advance for any help...!

I am trying to identify the part in the photo... it is the rubber(?) hose part that connects the air intake to the turbo, literally just the end part with the 2 jubilee clips on it... it is separate from the pipe, it just joins to that and to the turbo air intake... I've tried looking online and am going down all sorts of random dead ends getting the actual part number or name...

Car is 2013 1.0 Ecoboost 125... not sure if any more info needed but I will answer any questions to help! Thanks!

It's just called a rubber joiner.  Not available separately from Ford.  Comes as part of the intake pipework.  Part number 1818242.

You can buy aftermarket joiners cheaply, just need to measure the internal diameter.

Or buy a used pipe assembly on eBay for about £20.

Thanks! That's a good enough answer for me! It's weird though, because the sites I can find that part number (so far) say it isn't compatible with my car (by reg number), but to me it seems clearly identical....! Then when looking at suggested alternatives, not really getting any similar ones... weird! Whatever is going on there [sort of] explains why I have struggled to find the part or number, anyway!

Also showing new ones around £20, so should be a cheap fix!

Much appreciated!
