Focus MK3 automatic light not work perfectly

Featured Replies

Dear Colleauges!

I have a problem with our Focus mk3. We always use the automatic light, before some months the park light always light (at night and at daytime too), and the dipped beam turned on only at night.

Before 1-2 months the park light never light, but it turns on automatically the dipped beam at night.

The park light can be turn on by hand.

Information: before 1-2 months I replaced the cabin air filter, I have to disconnect 2 cable next to the cabin air filter, but I did it second time without problem.

I checked the coding in Forscan, but seems OK.

Do you have any idea?

I have attached the bcm configuration.

I suspect your have confused/corrupted the BCM when you unplugged the two connectors while changing the cabin filter.

Disconnect the battery negative lead, and leave the battery disconnected for 20 minutes.

Reconnect the battery and WAIT !!!! Do nothing for 5 minutes before you turn the ignition on. This will reset all modules and allow them to reboot it the correct order.

Unfortunatelly not helped. I have removed the battery connector for a night.

Do you have any idea? Is the coding good on the screenshots?

Nothing looks unusual.

Do you have reason to think something has been changed ?

Yes, I saw with my eyes that the parking light was always turned on at daylight, it worked as DRL.

Is there any way to setup with forscan? Or do you have any idea?

Is the ONLY problem you have is that the Day Running Lights are not working ?

No, my car has no DRL. The park light worked as DRL. And yes, this is the only problem, that the park light not tuned on at daylight in auto mode.
