Mk3 headlamp washer faulty

So today I took my car for a mot and it needed a headlamp washer as it wasn’t working… being an x mechanic I took on the job to replace the headlamp washer. I checked the fuse for it first which is in the engine bay F29 and that was all okay so I then removed wheel and arch moulding on the drivers side to gain access to the pump.
I removed the pump and put a 12v feed directly onto it to check if it was working and nothing it was dud.

i then called Ford to find out how much it was for a replacement and shockingly they wanted £152+vat for it also I couldn’t get it from a motor factors as they didn’t list or stock it. I could see you could buy it from Amazon or eBay but was with lengthy waiting times so I did abit of digging and I found one that looked a lot like it but wasn’t for my car it was for an Audi  so I gave the part number to the local motor factors that I use and they had it in stock for £18 bonus the lengthy story led to this as I didn’t want to spend nearly £170 on a washer pump from Ford and I have fitted the pump and works perfectly well I will attach the photos of the washer pump that I used hopefully this helps someone along the way 👍
