Yes, almost exactly the same as whatever the voltage is across the battery terminals.

For example battery terminal voltage 12.62V then expect 12.60V at the ignition switch.

ok thanks i got that i have the violetand red wire that puts out battery vlotage brown which lights up the dash but am trying to trace the green and grey wire from the stop start switch and it is ment to go to the bcm that wire in my mind is a signal wire because when i press the button to start voltage on that line is 5.6 volts while holdinding the start button should it be more and is it a signal wire to the bcm ? many thanks
