I have recently purchased a Ford focus st line x 1.5 ecoblue 2018 Auto, which seemed to splutter sometimes at low speeds (in traffic or on pull away but not initial pull away, more so as going through the gears) looked online saw it could be a fuel filter and decided to send it back to Evans Halshaw Ford for them to sort as was within the first week of picking it up. 

They diagnosed it as needed a new gearbox (8F24), so two weeks later we pick it back up with a new gearbox and it is still doing it. 

Anyone else had similar issue? 

I initially thought it felt like it is spluttering as if it's going to run out of diesel but now am thinking is it software? 

Have previously had problems with a VW touran Mechatronic unit and wondering if this is a similar issue?

They should have updated the TCM software before fitting a new gearbox ideally.  Do you know whether they did?

Either way, it's still under warranty so it's their problem.

Thanks for your reply, no idea with regards to the TCM software being updated but I was told the master tech was fitting the gearbox so hoping he knows what he was doing. 

Going to test today using paddle shift to see if we encounter the same issues before they call me back tomorrow.

Yes, under warranty but still a pain.

I just want to enjoy my new car 🙂
