St seats in a non St 5dr.

Featured Replies

Managed to pick up a st full interior from Gumtree cheap, impulse purchase 🫣.

Going to fit them in a 4 door titanium mk7.5? Bit unsure on the front seat connectors obviously the most important connector is airbag and weight sensor, any tips I haven't removed the seats in the car yet but I doubt they plug straight it without modification.

Fingers crossed the rears fit as they did make a 4dr in the uk right.

Currently at cleaning stage but obviously I will share how it turns out for others doing the same.

Never seen a 4 door Mk7 Fiesta in the UK.  Pretty sure they didn't sell them over here.

ST's were all 3 door.

The seats do physically fit though.  The issue here is going to be whether they came from the same age car, as the wiring is likely to have changed throughout the years, rather than the door number.  Only you can look at the plugs under your own seat though, we can't do that through the internet.

I stand corrected.  Wonder how many were actually sold.  Must have been less than a year before the Mk8 was released?

Currently only 5 available on Autotrader on '66/'17 plates.

Don't think the extra doors detract from the looks at all personally.  They should have offered them much earlier!

I've seen a few (or more accurately, only noticed a few). I think your perception is that a Mk 7 ST is a 3 door, and as the profile and stance is the same, you don't necessarily register the 5 doors.

The Mk 8/8.5 was available as 3/5 doors from launch almost to the end when it became 5 door only. 5 door Mk 8s always seemed quite popular even when you could get 3 doors. Certainly more practical than trying to wiggle people or "stuff" into the back past the sport seats in 3 doors!

Yeah as you mentioned, there was a option to have a 5dr, and there is a thread on here of a person getting one from new and doing a few mods. And looking at the interior it looks the same as the 3dr so i think the rear seats will just fit.

I know there is one less as I bought the sideskirts from a crashed one took me months to find oem st sideskirts for a 5dr 🙄 ... I think it will just be a little different to all the others when finished and 5 door much more practical if you have kids. I will be putting the engine in too, just have to do some more research on what extra parts to get, I know I will probably need a engine loom and some modules.

The fiesta has grown on me I like it 😁

But any ideas on what the colour coding on the plugs are ie is red the air bags etc?

That's fair, I will have a look sometime today, it's a 2013/14 titanium with most the toys air con sony stereo etc and cruise .. but no heated seats if it stops raining... I will whip my battery off and check the plugs and update

Yes, what I usually do is a search on Google (or other search engine) and include "Ford Owners Club" in the search title. Usually does the trick for me and often brings up hits from other forums like Talkford, FiestaSTOC, etc, and elsewhere.
