looks like I’ll be needing two new tyres soon. So can I ask what recommendations you have please?

Particularly for the 18” rims

Although grip in the wet is essential I’m also very interested in the overall wear under normal driving conditions.

    I'm guessing (Ha Ha!) but i think you aren't getting answers because this has, I think, been done to death many times.

    I go on the EU Wet Grip & Fuel Economy ratings and then price. I won't go less than B/C for those parameters (however much they are worth) and then pick the cheapest.
    As I don't need or use maximum performance or late braking I've never noticed any difference between tyres (Philistine that I am!)

    £52 to £185 per tyre as of today.
    This can change of course, it's a very personal thing?

    Michelin pilot sport 5 for summer tyres.

    Goodyear vector gen 3 for all season.

    My trye of choice for many years has been Uniroyal Rainsports, which I also use on the MX5. They seem to grip well wet or dry, and maintain a little more flexibility in colder weather that others I have used.
