Transit connect transmission and cooling issues

Featured Replies

Sorry for a new thread, i have taken on my sons transit connect 2015 1.6tdci, it overheats on hills, goes into a kind of limp mode (no dash lights) and then within minutes regains power and temp drops back to 70-80, ive changed thermostat housing, but still happening, also gurgling when i open the expansion tank even when cold, no mayonnaise or oil in the water, but it is using water.
I also have trouble getting it into reverse gear, linkage has been changed, from start it normally goes into reverse, but once moving, i have to put it in first, clutch in, open door, push it back a few cm’s and then it goes into reverse, fine if on the flat or an uphill slope. Any ideas before i give up on it?
