Aftermarket parking sensor question

Featured Replies

Dear Forum!

I've bought my first car (2006 Focus Sedan) and tried to upgrade it with an aftermarket parking sensor kit.

It's an AMIO kit, with a small monitor thingy. The monitor turns on when putting the car in reverse, but it only displays "--" and the sensors doesn't seem to work at all.
The wiring should be good, I've checked it multiple times and measured +12V on the controller's ignition and reverse light inputs. (GND is good aswell)

I was thinking that the monitor must be faulty, but it responds to the button presses and it turns on/off when putting into reverse.

+I have no idea what the button is used for, there is nothing about it in the manual. The monitor cycles between "L1-L4" and "F1-F4" when I press and hold the button.

Thank you for the help!
