TPMS receivers Mk 1 front wheels

Featured Replies

As per my recent post I'm new here. As a long-time S max owner I hope I might be able to help out other forum members in due course, but immediately I've got a few gremlins and queries relating to a Mk 1 I've just bought (second one I've owned).  One is a TPMS error message on the dashboard.  Appreciate this may be down to failing batteries in the sensors in the tyres, but I'm puzzled that I cant find TPMS receivers anywhere near the front wheels.  The rear ones are fairly obvious at the base of the rear wheel arch behind the back wheels, but there is nothing comparable visible at the front, even with the front wheel arch liner removed.  Are the front receivers/aerials the same as the rear? Where are they located?

Should be attached to the liner

Thank you Ian, found it now. NB the cheap replacement wheel arch liners you can buy on ebay don't have the attachment point for it.
