Sudden powerloss

Featured Replies

Hello all!

I got a 2012 Focus 1.0 Gasoline.

When I «floor» it in 3. gear and up, while accelerating, I feel a sudden «notch», and the car «loses» power. No enginelight. I could floor it in second gear, and it barly accelerates.

Turn the car off and back on, and it works fine.

Have anyone else experienced this problem or could tell me where to start troubleshooting?

Thanks!

As no one has yet replied, all i can suggest is looking for pending fault codes and live data with Forscan, not some cheap code reader which only sees basic OBD codes.
If you decide to go that route, you'll need a laptop & lead or the mobile version and a dongle.
If you can't find the details, ask.
I'm a diesel head so lost track of petrol related stuff other than have service items such as fuel filter, spark plugs etc been attended to?
