Hi all, two weeks ago I replaced my 2015 Focus 1.0 with a 2022 ST-Line Vignale, all seemed fine until last night when I got an email from Ford Service telling me that the car needs an oil change. I checked in FordPass and it says that it’s due this month, but that I’ve got 14,700 miles to go?!

I’m going to contact the dealer tomorrow, but just wondered if this is a common thing with these “connected” vehicles, getting these things totally wrong?

you would have thought they would have serviced it before you had the car, when was the service book last stamped ?

Do you mean it shows both next month AND 14,700 miles?  If so, that is clearly a glitch with the IOLM.  Another member had a similar thing recently.

Do check with the dealership that they did change the oil and reset it properly though.  It's worth noting that these only have an oil change every 2 years, so they may not have changed it before sale as it's an intermediate year.

I had an oil/filter change on my previous Fiesta annually. I noticed that the dealership only seemed to have reset the system at the "official" 2 year interval, though.
