Ford focus mk3 issue

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a Ford focus mk3 1.5tdci which has had an engine rebuild 3000 miles ago. Currently got code P2279 and P1102. I have replaced MAF sensor which didn’t fix the issue and I have smoke tested the car and there are no leaks. Inspected turbo and can’t see any issues. Air filter is good and housing is good with no damage to the wiring to the sensor as well. Car runs perfectly fine when codes are reset and then the sensor unplugged but when plugged back in it goes into a sort of limp mode once I hit over 2000rpm what restricts power but you can still go 70mph still.

any idea’s as I’m running out of things to look for, I suspected it could be the timing is off but don’t think that will have any link to the car running fine when the MAF sensor is unplugged.

What year is the Focus ?

Your profile says you have a 2013 Fiesta.
