Focus active 2019. Dead on ignition

Featured Replies

Hi all. Yesterday I was attempting a tpms reset, ie ignition on and off etc.

halfway through the ignition died. I have no dash lights, no ignition lights, no stereo, no clicking, no sounds. Remote fob locks and unlocks

battery is good, showing 12.8v I also have a booster on,

boot opens and closes with electric. Hand brake warning comes on, I have horn and lights, central locking working. Windows working.

checked all fuses there ok

any ideas?? Struggling here

thanks in advance

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for half hour?

You don't need to switch the Ignition on and off to reset the TPMS, what exactly did you do.

I was putting the tpms into learn mode, like this video, I did it once and got called to the phone so had to go again and it died,

BCM has crashed !!

Reset of all modules will clear the issue.

Disconnect the negative battery lead for 20 minuets. Then reconnect the battery and WAIT for 5 minutes before turning the ignition on. This will allow all modules to reset and reboot in the correct order.

Have you fitted new TPMS sensors ?

Kind of thought it might 😉
