Focus MK4 parking sensors randomly going off

Featured Replies

Good evening,

wondering if anyone could help. I have recently bought a 2019 Ford Focus Active X Estate, I have noticed that my parking sensors have randomly started going off on the near side, seems to only do it when I am parking using left hand lock on the steering which I find strange. I have had this plugged in and the parking sensors are not showing any faults. It appears to just show red down the near side, the vehicle does have park pilot so I’m not sure exactly what the problem is.
All help and advice is appreciated.

thank you.

A high Kerb can be enough to set them off.

Why would they still be triggering on my drive with no curb and when I park at the side of the road with the curb on the opposite side they still go off??

Just to update this, it actually appears that it’s the sensors that are on the side of the car which seem to be the issue, I believe that these are linked to the active park assist and not the regular parking sensors, this only happens on the passenger side and only fault when on full left hand lock. Any further ideas, really starting to stress me out now IMG_7066.thumb.png.24e5482aa568c5643d73290089c9cee5.pngIMG_7068.thumb.jpeg.d91ac4c702e63f5104c0990f8ef6a70f.jpegIMG_7067.thumb.jpeg.21bd3672d1addbd6f236736754c6ba74.jpeg
