I had to do a dpf regeneration with my launch machine when I done it it came up with a adblue symbol

Would that cause my oil like to go up drastically

The car got a update in March and doesn't seem right thenguy said it was updated to 2025

No sure if its just the launch machine that just displays it

Nothing to do with the AdBlue.

It's the excess diesel used during regens, that gets in to the engine oil, which dilutes it and increases the amount of fluid (diluted oil) in the engine.

So if oil level has increased there my well be a DPF problem?
Jimmy doesn't do forced regens - he fixes the underlying fault then cleans it (up to you of course):

He may have a relevant video for your fault too?

For AdBlue, the crystallisation in the tank and nozzle then subsequent blockage of the injector appears all too common and there is an additive to prevent that.
Much more history needed please!

No.

It's quite normal, but especially happens when regens have failed to complete, usually because the engine was switched off before it was finished.

I don't like that it is "normal" without there being a reduced oil change interval determined by an INCREASE in oil level.
i.e. if a regular check shows the level has increased above the maximum, then the oil should be changed.
Of course, few people actually bother to check the oil level these days?
The whole (cheapskate!) idea of post injection being the way to get extra fuel in to allow DPF regeneration is IMHO a very poor design choice  - I'll stick with the vaporiser system as long as possible!

@Dannyboydw appears to have done a forced regen (another thing I don't like) for some unknown reason and the history of that is still missing?

Must have one of those rare Ford engines that don't leak or burn oil if you can see a level increase.

Seriously though, I drove post-injection diesels for nearly 10 years without any oil issues, and of course, without any vaporiser issues.  I don't believe either system is 'better' overall.  Post injection works fine if space allows the DPF to be mounted close enough to the engine.  If it has to be mounted further away then a vaporiser is the more effective option.

My dpf keeps asking drive to clean

Drove down to Manchester to Glasgow and back up and it wouldn't clean after saying drive to clean

And when I say about the oil my oil life monitor is at 88% and I need to do 20800 miles just after dec

The service manager said change it every 8000 miles or yearly what ever comes first

Its the amount of miles audits only after the garage updated my software to 2025 model or so he said

Buy some Archoil D-Max, run it for a while on that.

Make sure you're buying decentish quality diesel, don't waste your money on Super

I run it all the time though to be fair

I hear what you say but Euro 6 (requires AdBlue?) came in during 2015 so I don't understand (could obviously be missing the point)

Euro 6 doesn't specifically require adblue.  Its just that most diesels needed Adblue to get below the Euro 6 limits.  The early 1.5 EcoBlue uses a NOx cat instead up to around 2020.

I hadn't realised the relevance of the Adblue image at the start of this thread though.  It is possible that the Launch tool doesn't have the correct software to run a forced regen on the pre-Adblue models.  Or it could just be a generic image that has nothing to do with the regen process.
