P044B trouble with low pressure Egr valve

Hi peeps, 

got myself a head scratcher with the infamous Egr valves. 

not one but two on my beep box. low and high pressure valves. 

2019 ford focus mk4 1.5 zetec ecoblue 100,156 miles

Im getting the error code p044B: EGR sensor c circuit range/performance. which is setting off map and maf sensor codes. I believe this is to do with the low pressure Egr flap not opening (situated just before the turbo) and creating more suction through the air filter box

The air box holds the map sensor and the map is familiar to readings from air being feed to the turbo through two channels (the air box and the exhaust coming from the Dpf through the LP EGR)

picture an air flow sensor in your left nostril. If you cover the right the air flow reading in the left will change 

I believe this change has thrown off the harmony of my cars sensors.

wanting to test if it was working…

I removed the air box and recorded the flap as I turned the engine over. I then rev it to 3000 rpm. the flap remains firmly closed. 

Then, after I turned off the engine, there is a small pause before it opens fully then closes! 

Now I now it’s operational however I’m not sure if it’s malfunctioning or not does anyone have more insight on this, thanks 🙏
