Rear wiper not working

Featured Replies

I've checked and replaced the relay in the boot. Changed the motor and checked the wiring in the loom. Washer works fine. There doesn't seem to be anywhere near as many fuses in the engine compartment fuse box as the manual describes. My car is a 2014 focus Titanium.

Have you tried shorting the contacts/connections for the wiper relay? That would prove out beyond doubt if the wiper motor, wiring & connections are ok. Also is it fed by a fuse? One side of relay contact should have 12V supply otherwise shorting to the motor won’t work.

If motor works when you short the relay you may need to look at the stalk or BCM/GEM if that’s what generates the signal to the relay

Another route may be to use Forscan to see if the switching side is working and/or also using that software to activate the wipers (if any of that is possible!)
This would rule out the switching side and maybe the wiper itself - even though you have changed motor which may have been overkill at this stage? (although suggestion above looks relevant as well)
Beyond that it may be a BCM fault or need to check powers ground etc all the way back from motor to BCM etc, although you state you've done that???
Assume you've checked where the wires go from body to hatch as this is a common failure location?
