Sat Nav Update

Featured Replies

Hello Peeps,

I have just purchased a 59 plate Ford Focus Titanium, and all is good its a cracking car.  However it's sat nav maps are out of date (my road isnt on it!) Is it possible to get an updated SD card? FORD FOCUS FX Ls Rns Radio Cd Mp3 Navigation System Sat Nav £185.00 - PicClick UKThis is what the unit looks like. I have read that some SD cards you can buy on ebay may not work.  Could anyone point me in the correct direction to the latest available update?

It’s the FX nav there are sites which sell newer map updates.

The last official ford update was in 2021 which was called the final update. Do you know what version you currently have? (Eject the SD card and it should have it written on the label might have a V6 V7 version number instead of a year)

Many thanks this is what’s in mine, looks like the previous owners didn’t want to update! IMG_4164.thumb.jpeg.8128999acb50a1ae2a2a8d1832108180.jpeg

😂 might be worth donating it to a museum soon lol.
yes definitely out of date, you can update to the newer maps all I would say is be careful where you get your new SD card update from.

On the Ford genuine SD cards they will normally include a firmware update for the unit itself, the 3rd party ones may not and it could cause issues rendering the map objects and icons if the firmware on the unit is too old.
