Focus MK3 1.6Ti-VCT Idle Stall / Cut Out Issue

Featured Replies

Hi people, been a while since posting here. I'm currently having an idle issue with my car when slowing down for junctions, roundabouts and stuff. My car will splutter and stall. It restarts fine then will run okay for a while and then it will happen again at random times (Always when pretty much coming to a stop/idle). Been doing some reading and this is a known issue with my car/engine. Posts I have read suggest a PCM update which fixes the problem apparently. Is this something I can do myself? I have checked on FORScan and it does show an update (I think?). If I can, I'll buy the Vlinker FS and a FORScan license. Quite a few other modules show updates as-well would they need to be done too or would I be able to just do the PCM then leave it alone and hope it sorts the problem? Any info would be much appreciated, thanks! Section of FORScan log attached.
