Coolant leak

Featured Replies

Hi, apologies if this is a simple one however I’m new to this page.

I have a 2018 (MK4)ford focus 1.5 tdci.

Recently I have noticed a coolant leak which I have attached pictures of…

can anyone tell me what is leaking? It appears to be the plastic housing ?

I also occasionally have the EML light come on randomly, it shows the code “particulate filter efficiency below threshold bank one” I did a static regen however the light still comes on at about 200 mile what is the main cause of this?

Hi,

For reference, the 1.5 diesel in Mk4 is the 16v EcoBlue engine.  Not to be confused with the 8v 1.5 TDCI engine in Mk3.

That leak is around the thermostat housing, though I can't tell whether housing is broken or whether it's just the gasket from those photos.
