Weird Washer Problem

Just discovered a weird one today.

When i pulled the windscreen wiper lever back to wash the windscreen the rear wiper came on. To wash the windscreen i needed to push forward to get the jets on but then the rear wiper came on as well! Wtf…..

    The non-return valve in the washer pump is stuck or broken.

    What kind of a job is it? Easier to fit the pump or the whole washer bottle?

    The pump is a separate item to the washer bottle.

    Cheap enough if you get one from eBay. Or about £80 from Ford
