Rear Brake Back Plate Bolts

Has anyone got the part number for the 4 bolts that hold the rear drum back plate onto the ‘axle’

No i don’t think that’s correct. That’s coming up wheel bearing bolts

ok.....

the wheel bearing is inside the drum....

it is a sandwich, so...

169-2187 sure looks like a bolt to me.

What even are those? Reverse Torx?

These are called E-Torx.

Or simply external Torx.


On the earlier Focus MK2 ford made the mistake to use regular Torx bolts with a reduced head height. After a few Years these were extremely difficult to remove due to corrosion and the relative small Torx size in relation to the thread diameter. This is why Ford changed to these E-Torx bolts and used them ever since.
