Air Filter cleaning and recharging (oiling)

Featured Replies

Every year or every 15000-20000 km cleaning and recharging (oiling) the K&N air filter.

E-9289 filter number.

Filtering appears to be sufficient. No dirt and dust inside the intake pipe.

Before and After photographs.

By coincidence I’ve just cleaned and re-oiled my spare K&N cone filter - I’ve got 2 of them so rotate which one is fitted each year.

Mine attracts a fair bit of dirt as I live on an unadopted road so after cleaning I gave it a light dusting from inside with an airline at low pressure to get the last of the dirt/debris off it. Now oiled and back in its box ready for next time I swap them over 🙂
