Hello lovely ford friends. I have some videos and was wondering if any 1.0 Ecoboost experts could say whether the noises coming from it are normal or if I should be doing some work on it.

I know these engines are quite noisy and that fine just want to double check, the gearbox noise is audible when neutral but goes silent when clutch is pressed in.

All videos are taken with engine at running temp.

Same like the second video does my 1.5 ecoboost, that haves timing chain. Went to 2 mechanics, and they confirmed that there is no issue. I was worried about the timing chain sound, but it seems like 3 cyl ford engines are louder that the other manufacturers engines. Under the hood you can hear purge valve, fuel pump, alternator pulley (you should check yours, it may be blocked, i already changed mine at 60k km).

 

It sounds and looks like every other Ecoboost.

You need to find something else to worry about 😂
