Need some help, I have a ford transit cab van. It’s a 2016 mk8 transit 125hp.  I’m facing an issue where I am not getting any electrics at all, when I turn the ignition I don’t see any lights but the van starts and drives fine.  However there is no speedometer, no lights, windows etc, none of the electrics seem to be working.  It seems to be intermittent i.e sometimes it does come back.  I’ve checked the fuse boxes can’t see anything obvious.  Spoke to a mechanic he said to change the fuse boxes.  Looking for advice if anyone has had this issue and how do I go about resolving it.  Thanks in advance

Stop using a mechanic to find an electrical fault. That's like using a plumber to fix a wooden front door.

Get an auto-electrician to take a look at the fault and carry out some proper diagnostics. You could also do some diagnostics yourself using FORScan and see if there are any Ford specific DTC's.

Has the plumber been to take a look at your engine ? 🤔

Sounds like a BCM issue, check all connections are secure and dry. Same goes for earth points.

Has any other work been done ? If so, start there.

The OP had the carpenter round last week to take a look, he said he can do a better job than the plumber 🤣

Probably scared off. 🤷‍♂️

But same advice, check back over any recent work. Confirm all earths are secure and any connections to BCM are good.
