Coolant Intrusion

Featured Replies

My Mondeo 2015, 1.5 Ecoboost, UNCA, Dry Belt (I believe same blocks are used in Kuga, Focus etc.), manufactured in Craiova, Romania has coolant intrusion in cylinder 4. Probably due to this problem I have knocking noise in the motor. I am considering replacing the short block with aftermarket from China, in particular New Ford Cylinder Block 1.5t Ecoboost M8ma M8da M9ma M9da  on Alibaba.com .

Does someone have experience with such an aftermarket block from China and/or this particular company "Yolin"?

Do you think this is block would be plug an play for my car?

I live in Bulgaria and I recently got the information that here the official dealer charge for an original new design short block is around EUR 4000 which is simply not economically practical.
