Pop-out/fold-down window in the sliding door got loose

Featured Replies

Hello together,

yesterday i cleaned my all windows and found a problem :)!

I have a problem with the pop-out/fold-down window in the sliding door. Not sure if its the right word, but i marked the window in the picture below.
It seems to me that the glue or the seal is coming loose. If you pull on it lightly, you can see the gap very well.

Has anyone of you ever had this problem?
How can I remove the whole thing, and more importantly, how do I get the inner frame back to be secure and sealed again?!

Thanks!

Hi,

You can't remove the whole thing.  It's glued in at the factory, not designed to be removed easily.

I would just try to glue that seal back on in position with some car windscreen adhesive like this one.

Thanks for the quick answer. I think its worth a try with the Glass Adhesive.

Do you suggest any pre-work before applying the adhesive?

Get it spotlessly clean using methylated spirits or similar, then let it dry completely before using the adhesive.
