Whats causing this weird noise?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Have a 2012 mk3 tdci focus that recently starting making this noise but it isnt always constant so got lucky recording this: https://streamable.com/9k4zyi
Brought it to my mechanic and it decided to stop making the noise, go figure. He couldnt see anything obvious wrong with it and then about 2 hours later it came back lol.

Anyone any idea what could be causing it?

I could drive for an hour and not here a peep and then sometimes after 5 mins you will hear it and it varies alot as far as how loud it is too

Thanks in advance!
