Stray pipe?

Had a p2008 code pop up today which i believe is intake manifold control valves so ordered some to replace but while looking I've noticed a stray rubber pipe hanging down which isn't connected to anything. Anyone know if its supposed to be or if its just a drain or something? Car is a 2007 2.0 petrol.

    It's just a vent/breather pipe. Not meant to be connected.

     Vent pipe for the AC or heater unit. It’s supposed to clip onto the one of the studs near your hand but often the clips break apart over time. You can see the double-C clip further down the pipe
