2014 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI 105PS, losing power intermittently

Featured Replies

Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI Zetec Econetic 105PS 5DR, 2014, started throwing some engine warning lights and "Engine malfunction service now" message with degraded / lost power.  Local indie garage connected to reader and saw P0825-00 and U0073-88.  Cleared the error but the symptoms got worse.  Now no engine warning lights but the car is still losing power, like revs wont go above 3k.  If I turn off the car and back on it's ok.  But it just happens again a bit down the road. Any thoughts or suggestions?

For anyone who also has this issue, it was caused by a cracked air intake pipe.  When accelerating hard the torque on the engine was enough to move it away from the air filter and open up the crack in the pipe, letting more air in to the engine, air that the intake sensor couldn't "see".
