2019 Ford 1.5 Ecoboost. Does it sound normal? Video

Featured Replies

Turbo changed a few weeks ago and serviced, been driving it with no issues, after the initial smoke from the exhaust which cleared after about 20 miles.

Drove it today after not driving it for a few days. I was booting it and it sounded rattly, no issues with power or stuttering, but when stood at the lights it sound like a diesel and not smooth or quite. Does it seems normal? I am due to give it another service next week.

Thank You

Mine doesn't sound like that, was it rattly before the turbo was changed? years ago my grandad took his car to be serviced, he drove off without any engine oil, as they forgot to put engine oil in it, luckily it didn't cause any damage, might be worth checking the engine oil level?

Yes the old Model T Ford engine wasn't as delicate as these new fangled EcoBooms 🤣

No, was not rattly before the turbo change. I did check the oil and it was a little low, although the bottom of the dip stick has oil on it.
