Remote control

Featured Replies

Changed battery in remote control.

Car not responding, do I have to synchronise the control with the car.

If so how do I do that?

Thanks

Do you have another key to try, is the battery definitely high quality and good voltage (just get another one)?
Have changed batteries multiple times (2011) with no need to synchronise but things often change (what does your handbook say?
Otherwise it may be an immobiliser issue or summat else that I'm not qualified on.

Presumably it did work prior to needing to change the battery? Yes, check battery voltage as above (new battery should be 3.3v). Also ensure any safety sticker residue has been removed, plus the obvious - is it the correct way up? They differ between types of key**

Spare remote is ok, new duracell battery has an expiry date of 2032.

Reinserted old battery still not communicating with the car.

How do I re-synchronise the remote with the car.

I have now resolved the problem. Thankyou

Would you be so kind as to tellus how, for the benefit of others who may encounter the same problem, please?

Put the battery in the right way up 🤣

@Gerald1948, as said, please enlighten us (even if embarassing! 😉)
