Parking Pilot Malfunction - Ford Focus

Featured Replies

Hi all my ABS and traction control warning lights keep coming on and off due to a parking pilot malfunction. Does anyone know where the sensor is for this so that I can check it’s not loose or to check for damage. Many thanks.

When these lights came up on mine, it was due to a frayed Wheel Speed Sensor as the clip broke and the wire was rubbing against the wheel slightly.  The garage wanted to charge me £120 just to plug a scanner in but I did that myself found the fault and fixed it for a tenner.  The video is for a Fiesta but I'm sure it won't be much different for a focus.  He shows where it is at 2:25

There is one on each wheel.

You need to use FORScan to find out the Ford specific DTC which will tell you where the faulty sensor is.
