Hello Everybody,

Hopefully somebody can help me work out how to DECIPHER this puzzle.

When ordering a part on ebay they want to know if the car is a FWD I DAW,DBW or FWD IIDA_,HCP,DP.

Next Question they are looking for is Engine KW something or other ?????

What i do know is its variant : FYDB1.   Version: 5GGDLE. CO2 192 G/KM.

TBH I dont really know if its a MK 1 or a MK2 or MK3. At this stage i dont know which end is the front.

PLEASE PLEASE HEPME! HEPME!

Yours (losing it rapidly) FRANKSTER.

Doesn't really matter.  The ebay compatibility checker is often wrong anyway!

In this case the car is a Mk1 based on that engine code, so it's the DAW/DBW category.

KW is kilowatts.  That should be listed in the logbook.  In the UK we tend to use BHP instead, so if you know the BHP you can convert that to KW using Google or similar.

A 2005 registered Mk1 will be very awkward to buy the correct parts for, as the Mk2 was already in production by that point.
